ORLANDO, Fla. Premiering Sunday, Sept. 11 at 8 p.m. ET, Golf in America will kick off its five-episode run with a special episode dedicated to the 10-year anniversary of 9/11, featuring stories of three individuals affected by that day. This season, Golf in America profiles a dynamic cast of characters from all walks of life. In addition to an array of human-interest stories and profiles, the program also will spotlight some of the top golf courses across the country within its “National Treasures” feature, including Shinnecock Hills and Pebble Beach.

In the 9/11 premiere episode, Rich Lerner follows-up with New York firefighter Ken Eichele, who will reflect on the events that unfolded 10 years ago, and how golf has helped him through the past decade. The show also will feature former firefighter turned putter-designer Ken Flanigan, who has created 343 handmade “Flanigan Bilt” putters to honor the 343 firefighters who passed away on 9/11; and Chad Pfeifer, who turned to golf as a means to heal after losing a leg while serving for the U.S. Army in Iraq.

Future episode highlights include:
