Sam Waterston Attends “Rally for Sanity and/or Fear”

Some early photos are out of Sam Waterston (Law & Order) who participated in Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert's Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear on the National Mall in Washington, on October 30, 2010. Enjoy the pics!

Please note: I am sorry, but the photos are no longer available.

Sounds like the perfect event for Mr. Waterston to spread his excellent ideas! :)

Sam, who was introduced as "the most reasonable-sounding man in America," read "The Greatest Poem Ever Written: Are You Sure?" By the Reverend Sir Dr. Stephen T. Colbert DFA, SW's contribution to the "restoring fear" part of the rally. The world is a really a treasure-house of things to be afraid of, if you look at it right. It started off something like this:

"Did you hear that? No?
You're probably going deaf.
It's your kids back at home,
Cooking up crystal meth."

His delivery was vastly better than the "poetry" - watch for it on a youtube production near you.

The poem happens to be a satire, and Stephen Colbert is brilliant satirist. Sam totally read it in the manner intended, he was great. They played the famous Law and Order sound effect as he left.
