Sam Waterston (Law & Order) helped the US Postmaster General to unveil a new $.44 stamp in honor of Katharine Hepburn. The official “first day of issue” ceremony took place on May 12, 2010, which would have been Hepburn’s 103rd birthday, and was held at the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center. Sam was master of ceremonies. He starred with Hepburn in the 1973 television production of “The Glass Menagerie.” In the first video, Sam does a charming yet funny impersonation of Hepburn that should not be missed.
