Chris Noth: No Law & Order Movie Planned

Chris Noth and Jennifer Hawkins
Promoting LG Phones in Syndey, Australia

Chris Noth has been quite chatty lately, taking full advantage of all the attention he’s getting from the Sex and the City Movie, the new episodes airing for Law & Order Criminal Intent, and promoting LG phones in Sydney, Australia. Apparently someone thought there were plans for a Law & Order movie, which Chris has denied is in the works. Here’s the story from Contact Music:

LAW + ORDER star CHRIS NOTH has denied there are any plans to bring the hit crime show to the big screen - insisting the programme doesn't need any more incarnations.
The actor was a member of Law + Order's original cast between 1990 and 1995 and returned to the franchise in 2005, reprising his character for spin off show Criminal Intent.

The show, which has become the longest running primetime drama in America, now has two successful sub-series - Criminal Intent and Special Victims Unit, with plans for a British branch of the franchise - Law + Order: London - well underway.
And Noth insists that with so many different variations of the show currently showing on TV, there is no need to make a movie as well.

He says, "The problem with Law and Order is that it's on three times a day, six days a week. There are three different shows. I can barely watch it and I'm on it."

I am still in shock that Chris Noth is being replaced--AGAIN- in the eighth season by Jeff Goldblum!

I thought Dick Wolf had lost his mind the first time he let Chris Noth go because, according to him, "he wasn't young and sexy enough" to attract female viewwers.

Sex and the City was Mr. Noth's best revenge in answering that stupid question! Now he is to be replaced again by that chewed up, over-rated stringbean Jeff Goldblum who has never been able to carry a successful TV show.

I'm devoted to Vincent D'Onofrio and my beloved Bobby Goren, but I also like the Mike lOgan character.

It's a pity that Mr. Wolf never heard of the old adage, " If it isn't broken, then don't fix it"

All I can say is that he better not try that garbage with Vincent D'Onofrio, or he wil lose another show!
