In a switch from being detectives, Jesse L. Martin (Law & Order) and Adam Beach (Law & Order SVU) will be part of a group of 10 jurors participating in the fifth annual Tribeca All Access program.
According to Hollywood Reporter:
“A record 37 narrative and documentary features from new minority filmmakers were selected from more than 550 entries. All directors and screenwriters will participate in workshops and meetings with more than 100 potential investors, development executives, producers and agents.
The filmmakers will compete for $44,500 in prizes at the 2008 Tribeca All Access Creative Promise Awards, presented April 25 during the Tribeca Film Festival.
This year the program will add Tribeca All Access on Track, which will provide year-round filmmaking equipment and support to TAA alumni. there are three films from TAA alumni -- Engi Wassef's "Marina of the Zabbaleen," Dawn Valadez and Kristi Guevara-Flanagan's "Going on 13," and Makoto Sasa's "Fire Under the Snow" -- premiering in this year's Tribeca Film Festival.
The program is a collaboration between the Tribeca Film Institute, U.K. Film Council, Australian Film Commission and Canadian Film Centre. “
