Linus Roache Talks Law & Order to NY Post

Linus Roache (Law & Order) spoke with The New York Post’s “Pop Wrap” about the show, being a TV lawyer, and what is on the horizon for Cutter. An excerpt:

PW: The show has subtle ways of revealing things about the characters -- will we learn anything about Cutter in the next batch of episodes?

Linus: There is quite a big reveal happening in the episode we're about to start shooting. It opens up a whole can of worms about Cutter's internal love life, his romantic aspirations. There's a whole arena that's about to be explored -- where it will go, I don't know.

PW: Hmm, after Elisabeth Rohm's ADA came out as a lesbian, they fired her -- should we be worried of something like that here?

Linus: [laughs] Well, you never know! But seriously, I don't think that's the intended outcome -- it's just really going to open up a very interesting, new internal drama for Cut
ter.

Cutter development is always welcome, in my opinion. So he’s going to get a girlfriend? Or boyfriend? Maybe somehow tied to a case? I would have pegged this to involve Connie, based on the back and fourth they’ve had so far. But after last night’s episode, it looks like they have other issues to work out.

Based on the character's history, I don't think they'll make him gay. My guess is that he's divorced and isn't necessarily happy about it or that he's widowed. I also have a feeling we may be finding out why he's anti-abortion.
