The Day One web site says that Mariska “is a tireless advocate for victims of sexual abuse. Ms. Hargitay says that her inspiration for her character on "SVU" comes from the thousands of victims of sexual assault who don't have a voice and need to be heard, and the people who have dedicated their lives to helping these victims. Her work on SVU prompted her to become involved with several rape crisis centers as well as founding her own foundation called the Joyful Heart Foundation to assist real life survivors of sexual abuse. Ms. Hargitay's support for Children's Advocacy Centers was featured in the April 2008 edition of Redbook magazine.”

Actually, I did not forget. I just chose not to cover it!
That is weird, I was thinking the same thing today, that it was his birthday yesterday. Ha, how funny it is that I know that. I am a big fan, so. Also, I think it is great that Olivia is doing this event.
