Sam Waterston Reads The Gettysburg Address

As a companion to my blog entry from yesterday where I posted some information about Sam Waterston (Law & Order) doing a poetry reading for Voice Of America to honor President Abraham Lincoln, here is a recording of Sam Waterston reading Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address. I added a picture of Sam (taken from one of his appearances as Lincoln) and the text of the Gettysburg Address so you can read along.

Check out my blog home page for the latest information, here.

Also, see my companion Law & Order site, All Things Law & Order.

I like what he's doing with his voice here - I suppose he's trying to affect the same regional accent that Lincoln would have, though I am not certain about that. I like how deliberate his tempo is - very nice.
